The Brown women's soccer team (4-4-3) overcame a two-goal deficit, scoring twice in a span of 3:40, but allowed an own-goal 46 seconds into the second half and needed a late goal by senior Lindsay Cunningham (Cumberland, RI) to earn a 3-3 tie with Bryant (2-7-3) on Wednesday evening at Stevenson Field. Cunningham also had an assist on Brown's first goal to finish the night with three points and move into 14th all-time at Brown with 16 career goals and 10th all-time with 14 career assists. Columbia Outlasts Bears in Ivy Battle, 2-1, in Overtime
Sophomore Kate Scott (Medway, MA) scored her third goal of the season with 18:05 remaining to tie the game at 1-1 and force overtime, but the Brown women's soccer team (4-4-2, 1-1-0) eventually fell to visiting Columbia (7-2-1, 2-0-0), 2-1, in an Ivy League battle on Saturday evening at Stevenson Field. Lesbirel Scores Twice to Lead Bears Past Holy Cross, 4-1
With the score tied 1-1 after the first half, freshman Marybeth Lesbirel (Holmdel, NJ) scored twice in a span of 1:49 to open up the game and help lead the Brown women's soccer team (4-3-2) to a 4-1 victory over Holy Cross (1-9-0) on Wednesday evening at Stevenson Field. Junior Kellie Slater (Golden, CO) had a goal and an assist in the decisive second half, while junior Kiki Manners (North Potomac, MD) also scored in the win. (MORE)
