Alicia Sacramone Named to the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team7/21/2008 - Gymnastics Former Brown gymnast, Alicia Sacramone (Winchester, MA), was recently selected to compete on the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team in Beijing after the final selection camp at the Women's National Team Training Center in Huntsville, Texas. Joining Sacramone will be Shawn Johnson, Nastia Liukin, Chellsie Memmel, Samantha Peszek, and Bridget Sloan. Former Brown goaltender and MVP of the 2000 men's ice hockey team Scott Stirling '00 has returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach in an announcement made by head coach Roger Grillo. Stirling just completed his eighth season playing in the professional ranks and will enter his first season as an assistant coach this year. (MORE)
